Introduction to Health Care in Defence

This publication provides an introduction to health care in Defence. The target audience is health care workers in garrison health care. The handbook provides broad guidance on the nature and scope of the Defence work environment and garrison health care. The content includes how health operates within Defence, the organisation of health in Defence, health services, occupational and environmental health, governance, health material and logistics, and ethical considerations. This handbook requires graphical and creative input to provide a learning opportunity for the target audience. O2C provided the author and manager for this handbook.


86 Wing RAAF Standing Instructions

Commanders within the RAAF use Standing Instructions (SI) to define policy and procedures that may include mandates, prohibitions, guidance or information. SI are authoritative; although, sometimes require judgement in application. Due to legal and safety implications, the currency and accuracy of SI are extremely important. SI have five functional parts: administration, finance, logistics, operations and personnel. 86 Wing is a formation within Air Lift Group, RAAF that contains two squadrons operating C-17A Globemaster and B300 Kingair 350 aircraft. 86 Wing is responsible for the provision of combat air mobility capabilities. 86 Wing SI are lengthy documents (over 400 pages) that require separation and clarification to enable effective use by aircrew. O2C are providing the author and manager for these instructions.


Health Manual Volume 24 Part 1 - Management Procedures for Medical and Dental Materiel

This application level publication is the primary source manual for the daily management of Defence health materiel. The current publication was updated in 2009. The publication seeks to encompass the span of day to day logistics functions in the military health environment. O2C are providing the author and manager.
