| Situation |
A Branch within the Department of Finance aimed to further develop the communication
and teamwork within their area. The focus was to be on a better understanding of what
each section did and an increased understanding of what role individuals played within
their section. |
| Challenge |
The workshop was designed to facilitate the following outcomes:
- Build a better understanding of each other
- Improve personal communications skills
- Build a better understanding of different group work roles
- Have fun!

| Response |
The O2C facilitation team utilised a number of methods and techniques to challenge
participants to explore the key issues in an inclusive and collaborative manner. Some
of these methods included the HR and Finance Timeline and the Great Race. Additionally,
training was conducted on improving listening skills through an active listening program.

| Outcome |
The workshop identified the following ways in which the team could further improve their internal communication.
- Different teams chair branch meetings and bring their own flavour
- Increased understanding of roles
- Better ability to sell their Branch to remainder of the organisation
- Recognition of areas they needed to increase their communication.
