| Situation |
Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth (ARACY) is a not-for-profit organisation
established to enhance the wellbeing and life chances of children and young people in Australia.
Founded in 2002, ARACY is an organisation that focuses on trends in the wellbeing of Australia's
children and young people. ARACY has over 300 member organisations across Australia and includes
twenty four staff across offices in Canberra, Melbourne and Perth. ARACY has a range of policies
and procedures to assist with the conduct of business across the organisation. |
| Challenge |
To review and compile the ARACY policies into a single, current HR manual. |
| Response |
The O2C professional writing team reviewed all current ARACY policies against public sector
best practice. This gap analysis review enabled ARACY to identify the current status of each policy
within their organisation. O2C provided a comprehensive compendium of ARACY policies in an approved,
acceptable and contemporary style. |
| Outcome |
ARACY received a single, current Policy and Procedures Manual. This document provides staff a
one stop shop for all the key policies within ARACY. Additionally, ARACY received a HR Manual - a
summary of the key policies and procedures within ARACY. This document provides new staff a ready
reference and a Policy Analysis - a summary of the current status of ARACY policies and the amount
of work required to update these. |
