Client ACTEW AGL
Disciplines Training - Cognitive
Situation The ACTEWAGL Water Division Management Team was in the midst of significant workplace change. This change included senior executive changes, the amalgamation of some of the Water Division branches, new management team appointments, and new ways of doing business
Challenge The Management Team required a workshop to address the following:
  • Strategic Business Plan. The Water division team plan to endorse the strategic business plan at the workshop.
  • Communications strategy. Examine current communication processes and develop appropriate and effective ways of communicating with each other.
  • Personal resilience. Gain awareness and identify some strategies to assist with developing resilience.
Response We used the stages of team development as a tool for the team to assess their individual and team rating. The team identified an agreed future state. The workshop also considered ways communication could be improved within the team. The team was able to complete their strategic planning.
Outcome A proposal to conduct a strategic approach to team development through the delivery of a workshop and coaching based program was accepted and implemented the following year.
